
The fourth and final country that we looked into is Ethiopia. The high altitude gives it fairly consistent, non-tropical temperatures. June through September has long periods of heavy rain. January to early March has short small amounts of rain. Archeologists have found the oldest known human ancestors in Ethiopia, including Ardipithecus, Ramidus Kadabba, and Australopithecus Anamensis. Ethiopia is Sub-Saharan Africa's oldest country. The ethnic groups of Ethiopia are 40% Oromo, 32% Amhara and Tigre, 9% Sidamo, 6% Shankella, 6% Somali, 4% Afar, 2% Gurage, and 1% other. The official language of Ethiopia 9is Amharic. English, Italian, French and Arabic are widely spoken as well. In all there is over 200 dialects, the most common being Oromo, Tigrinya, and Somali. 40% of the people are Muslim, 40% Orthodox Christian, 15% Animist, and 5% other. If you decide to visit Ethiopia make sure that you drink plenty of water and use high UV sunscreen. Where light clothes to keep yourself cool and always ask permission to take pictures and prepare to be charged a fee to take pictures.
