Why our highway is the best

Our highway is the best, because it is cheaper, and has a more scenic route. It's more efficient than the other ones because it has very few bridges, and visits many interesting countries. It provides a culture from southern and northern Africa. The cost of our highway is a low 3 billion, which is the lowest of the low when it comes to our African highway project. If you drive on our highway, then you will have a very smooth trip through our 12 countries.

Ethiopia

The fourth and final country that we looked into is Ethiopia. The high altitude gives it fairly consistent, non-tropical temperatures. June through September has long periods of heavy rain. January to early March has short small amounts of rain. Archeologists have found the oldest known human ancestors in Ethiopia, including Ardipithecus, Ramidus Kadabba, and Australopithecus Anamensis. Ethiopia is Sub-Saharan Africa's oldest country. The ethnic groups of Ethiopia are 40% Oromo, 32% Amhara and Tigre, 9% Sidamo, 6% Shankella, 6% Somali, 4% Afar, 2% Gurage, and 1% other. The official language of Ethiopia 9is Amharic. English, Italian, French and Arabic are widely spoken as well. In all there is over 200 dialects, the most common being Oromo, Tigrinya, and Somali. 40% of the people are Muslim, 40% Orthodox Christian, 15% Animist, and 5% other. If you decide to visit Ethiopia make sure that you drink plenty of water and use high UV sunscreen. Where light clothes to keep yourself cool and always ask permission to take pictures and prepare to be charged a fee to take pictures.

Tanzania

The third country we have researched into is Tanzania. Tanzania is mostly a warm, cool place that rains often, but only when its the rainy season. The major rainy season is from early April to late May, and the short rains are in November. Tanzania was criss-crossed by tribal trade routes linking the Great Lakes (Victoria and Tanganyika) with the coast. These are the same routes along which Arab traders used to move inland, searching for slaves and ivory. The estimated population of Tanzania is roughly around 41,048,532. The ethnic groups of Tanzania are 99% African (of which 95% are Bantu consisting of more than 130 tribes), and 1% other (consisting of Asian, European, and Arab). The main languages are Kiswahili or Swahili (official), English (official, primary language of commerce, administration, and higher education), Arabic (widely spoken in Zanzibar), and many other local languages. If you ever decide to visit Tanzania you should probably bring light, short, breathable clothing and lots of water. One of the coolest things you can find in this country is the wildlife, such as elephants, zebras and many many more. Two of the best times to visit is January to March and June to August. Just to be safe, when going to Tanzania, you should probably get a vaxine for Routine, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Rabies.

South Africa

Another country that we have researched is South Africa. South Africa's climate conditions differ greatly depending on where you are, but most of the country has warm, sunny days and cool nights. During the summer is the rainy season,(November through March), although in the southwest the rainy season is during the winter, (June through August). Modern human beings have inhabited South Africa for more than 100,000 years. At the time of European contact, its indigenous peoples reflected migrations from other parts of Africa, where new tribes had become dominant. South Africa is well known for its cultural and ethnic diversity. Although the majority of the population is black, they have many other ethnic groups as well. About 9.2% of South Africa is white, 79.5% is Black African, 8.9% is Colored, and Indian or Asian at 2.5%. If you ever decide to go to South Africa make sure that you keep all valuables close by and well hidden so that no one can steal them. Never leave valuables in the car because there have been many reports of thieves breaking into a car and stealing anything of high value.

Burundi

One country that we have researched is Burundi. The land of Burundi is diverse in elevation, from mountains to plateaus to savannas. The capital city of Burundi is Bujumbara, which sits at the top of Lake Tanganyika in Africa's Great Rift Valley. The first people to inhabit this landscape were the ethnic Twa, with the Tutsi arriving from the West in the 1300's. Early European colonization started in 1899, when Germany took control. Belgium cam to power soon afterward in 1916. The people of Burundi are a very diverse people, seeing as 85% are Hutu, 14% are Tutsi, and 1% are Twa. They practice many religions with 62% Roman Catholic Beliefs, 5% Protestant, 10% Muslim, and 23% indigenous beliefs. The official languages are Kirundi and French, but Swahili is an important secondary language. For the inexperienced Burundi traveler, be sure to bring light clothes and an umbrella (for the rainy season). U.S. cash is the main currency and be sure no to go exploring in places that you aren't sure are safe.

Some of Africa's History

Much of Africa either practices European traditions, eats European food, or lives European lifestyles. The reason for this is, most of Africa was ruled by European conquerors and explorers. So if you go to South Africa, you may find on many menus in restaurants that include British or Portuguese foods and dishes, since it was ruled by both Portuguese and British empires.
